10 Days /9 Night
This is the first day of the 10 days complete wildlife and primate safari so get into the adventure spirit as you arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey is about 8 – 9 hours from Kampala thereby expect to have your lunch en-route. The most thrilling thing about this road trip though is a stop at the equator before continuing to check into your lodge at Bwindi.
After your morning breakfast; assemble at the park’s headquarters and get prepared for some Gorilla trekking experience. Mountain gorilla trekking is one of the most beautiful safari experience in Uganda and it is at the top of your to do list while on these 10 Days complete Wildlife and Primate Safari Uganda. After a short briefing, head into the dense green jungles of Bwindi to find the apes.
Take some pictures within 8 – 10 meters away from the gorillas as they go on about their day to day lives without a care of your presence. You will watch them play and feed their young and also pick ticks off each other.

Mgahinga gorilla National Park has a smaller mountain gorilla population but on this third day of the 10 Days complete wildlife and Primate safari Uganda, the main focus will be on the golden monkeys. These monkeys are extremely rare in that they occur in Mgahinga (about 3,000 – 4,000 individuals) in Uganda and a smaller population can be found in Gishwati forest in Rwanda.
Now that you have spent the morning tracking golden monkeys, head back to your lodge for lunch and after that, enjoy a relaxing birding adventure with sightings of several Albertine rift endemic species and abit of the Congo biome birds such as; Rwenzori Turaco, Kivu ground thrush, Rwenzori Batis, Montane nightjar, Rwenzori double collared sunbird and Mountain masked Apalis among other birds.
The home of Uganda’s tree climbing Lions is around the corner as you board the safari vehicle to make it to Queen Elizabeth National Park. It is always a good plan to set off early after breakfast and enjoy a tasty meal at your lodge, have some rest for more of the 11 days complete wildlife and Primate safari Uganda.
Drive to the Kasenyi area, of Queen Elizabeth National Park, after lunch for a Lion tracking adventure. The activity takes about 3 – 4 hours with wild treats of animals like Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes, Leopards and Uganda Kobs among others.
After your lunch at the lodge, converge at the banks of the Kazinga Channel where you will set off for an afternoon voyage on this fresh water channel joining lakes Edward and George. The banks are often a meeting point for animals seeking to quench their thirst, Hippos hiding from the hot sun and Crocodiles waiting to catch prey. Return to your lodge for dinner and over night.

This is the perfect road trip that is actually a continuation of your Uganda adventure with landscape viewing of vast tea plantations, crater lakes and the majestic Rwenzori Mountain rage. Upon your arrival, check into your lodge for the night.
Kibaale national park is a primate’s paradise with about 9 primate species including the intriguing Chimpanzees making it perfect for Chimpanzee trekking. Assemble at the park’s headquarters after early breakfast for a briefing before heading into the jungle to spend about 2 hours with the Chimps. The whole activity lasts about 4 hours so expect to be back to your lodge by lunch time.
The rest of the afternoon of your 10 Days complete wildlife and primate safari Uganda will be spent walking amidst nature in the Bigodi swamp. The Bigodi wetland sanctuary is the perfect birding destination with specials like Papyrus gonolek, Shoebill stork and the crested crane. After your day, head back to your lodge for dinner and a night's rest.
Set off very early in the morning immediately after breakfast for Murchison Falls National park with some cool sites along the way; stopping to have some lunch in a designated town on the way. Upon your arrival, head straight for the top of Murchison Falls for some landscape viewing. The smashing River Nile waters against rocks create a distinctive display of the rainbow colors perfect for nature photography.

Wake up to an early breakfast and get settled into your safari vehicle for a game drive through the park. There are about 76 mammals in the park so be excited to catch some Elephants, Buffalos, Leopards, Lions, Uganda Kobs, Kuddu, Defassa waterbuck, Oribi, Jackson’s hartebeest, bushbuck, Warthogs and Hyenas. Enjoy some bird sightings as well.
After this mind-blowing experience in the wild, a departure from Murchison Falls National Park to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is due, at the Sanctuary for both the White and Black Rhino tracking can be undertaken.
You will get into your vehicle as you enjoy one last sway of some outstanding scenery on your way to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport.
