Clothing

  • Lightweight, breathable shirts and trousers
  • Long-sleeved shirts for sun and mosquito protection
  • Warm layers for chilly mornings and evenings (fleece or jacket)
  • Neutral colors (khaki, olive, beige) for game drives
  • Comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots
  • Sandals or flip-flops for camp
  • Wide-brimmed hat or cap
  • Sunglasses with UV protection
  • Swimwear (if your lodge has a pool)

Safari Gear

  • Binoculars
  • Camera with extra batteries and memory cards
  • Flashlight or headlamp
  • Travel adapter (Kenya uses UK-style Type G plugs)
  • Power bank
  • Daypack for excursions

Health & Hygiene

  • Personal medications and copies of prescriptions
  • First aid kit (band-aids, antiseptic, antihistamines, etc.)
  • Malaria medication

  • Sunscreen (SPF 30+)
