Most standard Murchison Falls itineraries move through Paraa as the central hub, cross into Buligi for game drives, and take the boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of the falls. Karuma is typically seen in passing from the road rather than visited as a dedicated stop, and Ziwa is usually built into the drive from Kampala rather than treated as a separate destination.
Is Karuma Falls the same as Murchison Falls? No — they're both on the Victoria Nile and relatively close to each other, but Karuma Falls sits roughly 70km east of Murchison Falls, is smaller and less dramatic, and is now the site of Uganda's largest hydropower station rather than a dedicated tourist destination.
What's the difference between Buligi and Paraa? Paraa is the park's central hub — where the ferry crosses the Nile and where the boat cruise departs. Buligi is the game-viewing zone on the north bank, reached by crossing the Paraa ferry.
