The 160 kilometer game viewing arena forms a part of the larger Murchison Falls Conservation Area along with Budongo forest, the Kaniyo Pabidi forests and the park itself.
The Buligi area lies along the northern banks of the Nile; west of paraa region all the way to the Albert delta; offering breathtaking views of the Rift Valley, Lake Albert and even the free flowing hills of Congo. The vegetation in Buligi game reserve is a cocktail of riverine forest and savannah grassland and woodland with open fields of acacia trees.
