3 Hours Before Flight Time
This is the first day of the 5 days Murchison falls wildlife and Chimpanzee trek safari and therefore, it is important that you are on time for a scheduled pick up by our safari team. The journey roughly takes about 5 – 8 hours to Murchison Falls National park but you will make a detour to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track some Rhinos.
The Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you will find Rhinos; both black and white. The area is a conservation unit for Rhinos and some wildlife like Warthogs. Additionally, there is also a healthy population of birdlife that you will enjoy seeing as part of the 5 days Murchison Falls wildlife and Chimpanzee trek safari.
Stop by the nearby town to pick up some lunch and refreshments after your Rhino tracking adventure to push you further for the remaining part of the journey. Upon arrival in Murchison Falls National park, check into your lodge for a night’s rest as you wait for the next day’s adventure.

Return to your lodge for a quick lunch because the adventure isn’t over yet as Uganda’s most powerful waterfalls await. A boat cruise has already been arranged for you from Paraa to the base of Murchison Falls with some of the most breathtaking vistas on earth. After this day’s adventure, a quiet night at your lodge is in order.
With this adventure, the 5 days Murchison Falls wildlife and Chimpanzee trek safari will include a drive to Kibaale National Park. This is the perfect road trip that is actually a continuation of your Uganda adventure with landscape viewing of vast tea plantations, crater lakes and the majestic Rwenzori Mountain rage. Upon your arrival, check into your lodge for the night.
Kibaale national park is a primate’s paradise with about 9 primate species including the intriguing Chimpanzees making it perfect for Chimpanzee trekking. Assemble at the park’s headquarters after early breakfast for a briefing before heading into the jungle to spend about 2 hours with the Chimps. The whole activity lasts about 4 hours so expect to be back to your lodge by lunch time.
The rest of the afternoon of your 5 days Murchison Falls wildlife and Chimpanzee trek safari will be spent walking amidst nature in the Bigodi swamp. The Bigodi wetland sanctuary is the perfect birding destination with specials like Papyrus gonolek, Shoebill stork and the crested crane. After your day, head back to your lodge for dinner and a night’s rest.
By the fifth day, you have had the best time of the 5 days Murchison Falls wildlife and Chimpanzee trek safari and are ready to set off. As the driver slowly drives through the park, you can spot some birds and maybe even encounter some wildlife for the last time in Kibaale. Have your lunch enroute and arrive at Entebbe International Airport in time for your flight.
