Tilenga Safari Lodge is a newer property on the park's northern boundary, positioned so that guests get panoramic Nile and savanna views from every room while sitting just outside the park boundary — which means no overnight park fees, while remaining close enough for early-morning game drives through Tangi Gate.
About 5–6 hours from Kampala by road, or roughly 40 minutes by air to Pakuba airstrip followed by a short transfer.
An outdoor swimming pool, restaurant serving continental and African-inspired cuisine, a well-stocked bar, and an evening fireplace area. Activities arranged through the lodge include game drives, Nile boat cruises, sport fishing, chimp trekking at Kaniyo Pabidi, and birdwatching.
Travellers wanting a newer, comfortable mid-range property with northern-bank access and the cost advantage of staying just outside the park.
