Pabidi Lodge represents new investment in an area of Uganda that previously had no luxury accommodation option — the Kaniyo Pabidi section of Budongo Forest, home to Uganda's densest chimpanzee population at an estimated 6.5 individuals per square kilometre. Chimp trekking here is considered by many guides the most consistently successful in Uganda outside Kibale Forest, and Pabidi Lodge puts that experience within reach of travellers who want genuine luxury rather than the simpler cabins at Budongo Eco Lodge nearby.
Beyond the resident chimpanzee community, Kaniyo Pabidi hosts nine other primate species, 360 bird species including several Albertine Rift endemics, and 290 butterfly species — genuine biodiversity depth for a relatively small, easily walkable forest section.
Tented rooms designed to integrate with the forest setting while offering full luxury amenities — quality beds, en-suite bathrooms, and in-room comforts not previously available in this specific part of the park.
Travellers wanting the strongest chimp-trekking odds in the Murchison Falls area, from a genuinely luxury base rather than a budget or mid-range lodge.
